This completes transparency in the raw hide supply chain by identifying the slaughterhouses and farms used.
The aim is to verify, through ICEC controls, that raw hides are a by-product of food supply chains. We make the most of waste from food supply chains – i.e. raw hides – transforming it into precious leather through our tanning process, which uses vegetable tannins from responsibly managed and certified forests.
The aim is to assess compliance with the minimum product requirements and minimum environmental requirements of the production process set out in the standard, so leather can be labelled "ecological", "eco-leather", etc.
